Let's make this easy
I hate being photographed. Which is odd, given my face is all over this site.
So I know it’s the same for most folk. Not sure what to do. or how it’ll feel. Kind of expecting to feel a bit awkward, and, well, stupid.
That’s all normal.
You don’t need to prepare anything. You don’t need to be good at photos.
We keep things simple and let you settle into it at your own pace.
There’s usually a point where it feels daft and strange. It doesn’t last long.

How this works
We meet up somewhere that makes sense for you. Somewhere that means something or has a special memory.
We start slow. Nothing forced and no big set up. It’s just us chilling out.
If I’m honest, there’s usually a few minutes where you’re aware of the camera. Then you forget about it, and the fun begins.
You don’t need to practise anything. You just need to turn up.
I’ll guide you when it helps. I’ll step back when it doesn’t.
By the end, it feels less like a photoshoot and more like time you spent together.

Where it happens
I’m a Birmingham portrait photographer, covering the West Midlands and beyond. I like travelling to somewhere that means something to you. It means I can sing in my car.
We can keep it simple. A park. A walk through town. Somewhere familiar.
We’re not chasing perfect. We’re picking somewhere that feels like you.
If you’re comfortable, it shows. That’s the only real goal here.
Sometimes it ends up being somewhere unexpected. That’s usually where it feels most like you.

What you'll get
Whether it’s a family session, a couple shoot or something just for you, what matters to me is something that’ll make you remember how you felt at a particular moment in your life.
It might be when your kids are at that age. It might be because its the last time your family will look like it does right now.
You don’t need a big reason to do this. Sometimes it’s just about having a record of this moment in time. A phone will tell you what you did.
But a portrait session will remind you how you felt.
You’ll care less about how you look on the day and more about what the portrait reminds you of.
